RENU took centre stage as the proud host of the 16th edition of the conference, which was held at the exotic and scenic Speke Resort, Munyonyo, from 26th to 27th October 2023. The conference, which was held under the theme, “Fostering Creative and Innovative Research and Education Communities”, celebrated advancements in research and education technology and highlighted the role of collaborative networks in propelling Africa into the digital future.
This annual gathering of the UbuntuNet Alliance showcased RENU’s pivotal role in fostering collaboration, innovation, and the digital transformation of the continent’s academic and research landscape. The UbuntuNet Alliance is the Regional Research and Education Network (RREN) for Eastern and Southern Africa, and it connects the various National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) like RENU to other regional research networks globally.
