On 11th May 2026, Uganda’s research and education community: the Uganda ORCID Hub, operated by RENU, has been recognized by ORCID as a Certified Service Provider (CSP) in the Research Information Systems category. This certification affirms that the Uganda ORCID Hub adheres to internationally recognized best practices for connecting researchers, institutions, and research information systems. Through the Hub, member institutions can securely and efficiently contribute trusted information to researchers’ ORCID records, strengthening institutional reporting, improving research visibility, and enhancing the global discoverability of Ugandan scholarship. As Uganda’s National Research and Education Network, RENU remains committed to providing shared digital infrastructure that enables our institutions and researchers to participate fully in the global research ecosystem. We thank ORCID for this recognition and our member institutions for their continued partnership in advancing research excellence and innovation in Uganda.
