Web Conferencing
Why Web Conferencing?
Web conferencing enables education and research institutions to hold meetings, conferences, seminars and virtual classes even when they working away from their premises.
RENU offers two platforms; Zoom and BigBlueButton (BBB). The advantage of using BigBlueButton is that it is zero-rated, meaning that if an institution holds a virtual meeting, seminar, or conference on BBB, participants will not need to load a data bundle on their mobile devices.
Web conferencing has revolutionized collaboration within RENU member institutions, facilitating real-time interactions among researchers, faculty, and students, irrespective of geographical distances.
This technology breaks down barriers by enabling virtual meetings, discussions, and collaborative projects, fostering a strong sense of community. In the domain of distance learning, web conferencing proves instrumental in supporting online courses and programs, offering accessible education through virtual classrooms and interactive sessions.
These platforms (Zoom and BigBlueButton) also contribute to ongoing professional development through workshops and seminars, aligning RENU institutions with global trends and encouraging the adoption of modern communication technologies.
