Track Uganda's Gorillas Online

Did you know that you can now friend and follow Uganda's rare and endangered mountain gorillas online? Uganda Wildlife Authority has launched a project to enable you to follow individual gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Facebook or Twitter. There is a dedicated website www.friendagorilla.org, where you can learn more about how to participate in protecting these endangered species. Besides getting a $500 permit levied to regulate visitors and protect the gorillas' natural habitat, you will need to make an advance booking to enable you to make the actual trip to the park in southeastern Uganda for a glimpse of these gentle giants.
