Colleagues,
Please find attached the final programme for the Kampala meetings, bar one or two items for which an update will be sent. All events are at Hotel Africana. As pointed out earlier, this is a modest but reasonable hotel: there are many up-market hotels within 10 – 20 minutes walking distance if any one prefers a more up-market hotel at a more up-market price.
If you are presenting or chairing a session, please do send us a photo and a brief bio (max 100 words) for the conference website. It is also preferred that all presentations to UbuntuNet-Connect 2009 are sent in before the close of Wednesday 11th for posting on the web (there will be no hard copies circulatedat the conference).
All delegates will be collected from the airport by the Hotel Africana shuttle, or by someone holding your name on a plaque, from Entebbe. The best laid plans can and do go wrong: the contingency plan is to take an Airport Taxi (they are clearly marked) from Entebbe to Hotel Africana. Depending on your bargaining ability, the costs will range from $25 – $30. Distance is 40km. Allow 1 hours for the journey from Entebbe to Kampala.
See you all in Kampala – and welcome to the Pearl of Africa!
