Home Membership Eligibility
Eligibilty

Organisations that apply for membership of RENU shall be accepted provided they satisfy the following minimum conditions:

  1. Must be legal entities operating in Uganda;
  2. Must be offering university level education and/or conducting university level research;
  3. Organisations that are Universities must be established by Act of Parliament or chartered by the National Council for Higher Education;
  4. Must have an ICT Policy and Master Plan;
  5. Must have a functioning Local Area Network connected to the Internet;
  6. Must have an established information resource management function;
  7. Must meet the cost of membership as agreed by the Launch Meeting or reviewed by the signatories to the MoU;
Provided that organisations that conduct education or research at university level but do not meet one or more of the minimum requirements shall be admitted as Associate Members, and supported by the network in meeting the conditions for full membership.
